Learn how to deliver outstanding color to a diverse clientele and increase profitability. You will learn how to shift formulation and accommodate the texture in your chair. You will also learn easy ways to solve the most common issues when coloring textured hair like achieving target shades, color intensity, porosity issues, and color formulations. Hair is Hair, but the rules of engagement make the difference. After taking this class, you will be able to confidently welcome all textures of hair and color beyond your comfort zone.

Keya Neal

Keya Neal- ABCH Certified, Stylist, Educator, and Coach. After graduating from Dudley Cosmetology University, Keya has been a thriving Stylist for the past 24 years and owned a successful salon for 10 years in Charleston, SC. Keya has been an educator and platform artist for major company’s such as Dudley’s, Influance Hair Care, and Artease Colors. After relocating to Maryland in 2010, Keya changed the trajectory of her career by becoming a color focused Stylist. Her experience at a multicultural salon was the the driving force behind her passion to diversify her color clientele and understand color on a scientific level. Soon, this passion would couple with her passion to educate thus birthing the Kolour Kulture in 2015. The Kolour Kulture is a hub of education and resources designed to help establish stylists that want to become color focused in business, direction, and skill level. The Kolour Kulture is designed to educate and empower all nationalities and cultures with multifaceted and unparalleled curriculums. This organized set of instruction and resources are shared through various outlets. Keya shares her knowledge of color at trade show classes (Premiere- Orlando and Birmingham, Bronner Brothers), national classes, seminars, expos, and Kulture Kamp. Kulture Kamp is a highly successful 3 day learning experience held 1-2 times annually at different “theme” based locations. Keya also coaches and mentors through webinars in groups and one on one for those that want the full experience with accountability and support of the Kulture shift in their business. Keya’s most recent accomplishment was becoming ABCH Certified in 2017 followed by the prestigious honor of being the only African American female to educate for Color Summit in 17 years since her iconic predecessor.
